My research interests have focused upon seabird ecology, Palearctic migrants in sub-Saharan Africa, upland birds, and the potential ecosystem service benefits of landscape scale habitat restoration.
I co-ordinate a range of ornithological research activities that are predominantly focused on reducing uncertainty over the potential effects of marine renewables on seabirds.
My main research output is in the form of peer-reviewed publications, scientific reports and through participation in/chairing of project advisory groups.
I collaborate with scientists and stakeholders across the UK and Europe and am keen to develop further collaborations.
