How to Apply for a Licence

Under the new seal licensing system, all fisheries and fish farms which require to manage seal predation will have to apply for an annual seal licence on one of the forms below.

In addition:

Licence applicants will be required to follow the Scottish Seal Management Code of Practice (updated September 2018) and should also be aware of the Seal Management Areas in Scotland.

Every year the annual licensing round runs from 01 October to 31 October for applications for the February to January licensing period.

Completed application forms and supporting information must be submitted to Marine Scotland no later than 31 October every year.
