Strategic Framework for Farmed Fish Health

Strategic Farmed Fish Health Framework Working Group

The group was established in December 2017 to deliver a farmed fish health framework for Scotland, which is a Programme for Government commitment for 2017-2018. The group has met four times and the Framework was published on 23 May 2018.

The group is co-chaired by Ben Hadfield, MD of Marine Harvest Scotland Ltd, and Professor Colin Moffat, Head of Science, Marine Scotland.

Membership includes finfish farming businesses, trade associations/networks, the Scottish Aquaculture Innovation Centre and veterinary professionals, as well as regulatory bodies.

Activity

The group will continue to meet on a regular basis to oversee and facilitate the implementation of the framework and provide updates to priority work streams. Meeting documents and updates will be made available online.
