Egg and Poultry inspections

Why do we inspect Poultry Units? Eggs in a egg box

Inspections are carried out by inspectors who are part of the Scottish Government Poultry Unit.

The role of the unit is to implement legislation in order to protect consumers by interpreting and enforcing the EU Regulations covering hens, eggs, free range poultry meat, hatcheries and hatching egg/chicks and the ancillary domestic legislation relating to these areas.
