Global Connections Survey
These pages give information and results on Scotland's Global Connections Survey. This is an annual survey of businesses that collects information on exports and international connections of companies in Scotland and is the only export survey covering all sectors of the Scottish economy. Data were collected for the first time during 2003 (for 2002). Data for 2003 and 2004 were collected during the summers of 2004 and 2005 respectively.
The 2002 and 2003 results published in December 2004 have been revised due to improvements in data and methodology. Details of these changes are set out in the grossing methodology paper which can be accessed using the above link. Results for 2004 should be treated as provisional and may be subject to future revision.
The Government would like to extend its thanks to all of the companies that responded to the survey and to all those who have been involved in the survey for their help and advice, and in particular Scottish Enterprise, Highlands & Islands Enterprise and participating Local Enterprise Companies.
