Scottish Welfare Fund Statistics: Annual Update 2017/18

Corrected 12 September 2018 at 1730: Underspend from 2014/15 to 2017/18 was calculated incorrectly in Table 40. This in turn affected the calculation of available budget for 2015/16 to 2018/19 in Tables 40, 41 and 42, estimated monthly expenditure for 2017/18 in Table 41 and Chart 10, and proportion of budget spent for 2017/18 in Table 42 and Chart 9. These figures have now been corrected in the Excel tables, charts and in this publication. A document comparing the original and corrected underspent and proportion of budget spent figures has also been published.

The previous version of the publication also incorrectly used a crisis grant target processing time of two working days. Two working days was the original time frame for processing crisis grants, however this was changed to the end of the next working day with effect from April 2016. Tables 16,17, and 18 and Chart 8 have now been corrected to reflect the correct target processing time, along with commentary in this publication.

Scottish Welfare Fund Statistics: Update to 31 December 2017

Revised 25 April 2018 at 1730: Expenditure from July to September 2017 was incorrectly used in tables 12 and 15, rather than expenditure from October to December 2017. This in turn affected the calculation of average award values in tables 12 and 15. Updated figures are found in the Decisions, awards and expenditure section of the main body of the publication (p.10) and in tables 12 & 15 of the excel tables document.
