  • Built Environment Statistical Advisory Committee ( BESAC)
    The Built Environment Advisory Committee is a working group of SCOTSTAT. SCOTSTAT is a new network for users and providers of Scottish Official statistics, which aims to improve communication amongst those interested in particular statistics and facilitate the setting up of working groups on specific statistical issues.
  • Homeless Statistics User Group ( HSUG)
    (Reports to the Built Environment Statistics Advisory Committee)
    The Homelessness Statistics User Group is concerned with assessing and improving the quality of the homelessness data collected by the Scottish Executive Housing Statistics Branch. The group also considers how to promote the availabilty of homelessness statistics, reviews the need for information on homelessness and provides feedback on the uses being made of the data which is being collected.
  • Right to Buy Sales Working Group ( RTBSWG)
    (Reports to the Built Environment Statistics Advisory Committee)
    The Right to Buy Sales Working Group discusses the mechanisms for obtaining/collating and storing RTB sales information for analysis in the future. The group also considers what information should be obtained about each sale of a socially rented property to a sitting tenant and how best to publish and disseminate the information between partners.
  • Household Analyses Review Group ( HARG)
    (Reports to the Built Environment Statistics Advisory Committee)
    The Household Analyses Review Group is concerned with the household estimates and projections produced by the General Register Office for Scotland. The purpose of the group is to assist the General Register Office for Scotland to maintain relevant good quality official household estimates and projections, and to provide users with sound advice on the basis of household estimates and projections and their use.
  • Homelessness Electronic Data Capture Project Board ( EDC)
    The purpose of the project board was to oversee the development and implementation of an electronic system to record, report and analyse information about each application to local authorities for assistance under the homelessness legislation. The work of this group is now complete since implementation of the new system took place in December 2001. A new committee concerned with using the data will shortly be set up.

This area will be used for future consultations with data users and providers on our data collection and dissemination strategies and procedures.
