Scottish Retail Sales Index – main findings
Retail sales in Scotland increased by 0.6 per cent in volume terms during the fourth quarter of 2015.
On an annual basis, comparing the latest quarter to the same quarter of the previous year (2015 Q4 on 2014 Q4), retail sales volumes grew by 2.2 per cent.
The value of Scottish retail sales, without adjusting for inflation, during the third quarter of 2015 contrcated by 0.3 per cent from the previous quarter, and contracted by 0.9 per cent comparing the latest quarter to the same quarter of the previous year.
