Scottish Retail Sales Index – main findings
Retail sales in Scotland increased by 1.7% in volume terms during the fourth quarter of 2014.
On an annual basis, comparing the latest quarter to the same quarter of the previous year (2014 Q4 on 2013 Q4), retail sales volumes grew by 1.6%.
The value of Scottish retail sales, without adjusting for inflation, during the fourth quarter of 2014 increased by 0.8% from the previous quarter, and decreased by 0.1% annually.
