Scottish Retail Sales Index – main findings
Retail sales in Scotland decreased by 0.3% in volume terms during the third quarter of 2014.
On an annual basis, comparing the latest quarter to the same quarter of the previous year (2014 Q3 on 2013 Q3), retail sales volumes remained at the same level (grew by 0.0%).
Retail sales in Great Britain increased by 0.3% in volume terms during the third quarter of 2014, and grew by 2.9% annually (2014 Q3 on 2013 Q3).
