Marriage and Civil Partnership (Scotland) Bill
On 26 June 2013, the Scottish Government introduced the Marriage and Civil Partnership (Scotland) Bill to the Scottish Parliament. The Bill was enacted as the Marriage and Civil Partnership (Scotland) Act 2014. The Scottish Government is currently working to implement the Act.

- a policy memorandum explaining the reasons the Scottish Government wants to change the law and the other options it considered as part of the policy making process.
- a financial memorandum setting out costs and savings that arise from the Bill for the Scottish Government, local authorities, and other public bodies.
