The Jurisdiction and Judgments (Family, Civil Partnership and Marriage (Same Sex Couples)) (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) (Scotland) Regulations 2019

If the United Kingdom leaves the EU without a deal, these regulations will come into force on exit day.  The Scottish Government has prepared the following documents in relation to the regulations:

Consultation with stakeholders in 2018

In July 2018, the Scottish Government sent a letter sent to family and civil law stakeholders which included a number of questions to gather views on potential changes to family law in the context of the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union (EU).

We have published the responses to our letter.  The Scottish Youth Parliament did not provide a full response to the letter but drew attention to their Brexit manifesto and Brexit advocacy toolkit which are both available from their website.
