Implementation of the Strategic Framework for Action on Palliative and End of Life Care
The Strategic Framework for Action on Palliative and End of Life Care sets out a vision for the next five years, outcomes, and ten commitments to support improvements in the delivery of palliative and end of life care across Scotland. This important work has already begun and a number of implementation actions are being progressed. Commitment 10 was to establish a national implementation advisory group.
The national implementation advisory group is made up of representatives from selected stakeholder organisations, clinical and care professions, and specific leads for each of the other nine commitments. Members of this advisory group attended their first meeting on June 3, 2016.
The terms of reference for the national implementation advisory group are to provide advice to the Scottish Government about implementation of the Strategic Framework for Action on Palliative and End of Life Care.
We welcome feedback on the implementation – either directly via national implementation advisory group members or through the Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care (SPPC).
The SPPC can be contacted here.
Papers of the national implementation advisory group meetings will be published here after meetings in draft, and then final minutes after the following meeting. The papers are presented at meetings for discussion and may not reflect final policy decisions.
