ICT Client Devices Scottish Procurement on behalf of the whole of the Scottish public sector established a new suite of frameworks for the supply of information and communications technology (ICT) client devices. Advice was provided through the Zero Waste Scotland ‘Mentoring’ project, with support provided by Sustainable Procurement Limited. This had a focus on circular economy outcomes through end of life management of devices, energy and environmental management, packaging, fairly and ethically traded supply and fair work practices. Scotland Excel Domestic Furniture and Furnishings Framework Scotland Excel on behalf of councils established a new ‘re-use’ lot within the renewed framework for the supply of domestic furniture and furnishings, which supports the delivery of the Scottish Welfare Fund. Scottish Government Non-Domestic Energy Efficiency Framework Scottish Government, on behalf of the Scottish Government’s Heat, Energy Efficiency and Low Carbon Investment Unit, established a new framework for non-domestic energy efficiency, with an estimated value of up to £300 million over 4 years. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE), founded in 1670 as a physic garden, now extends over four gardens and is a world-renowned centre for plant science, education and home to Scotland’s living and preserved plant collections. RBGE sought to procure a hard facilities management services contract which aimed to deliver an efficient, sustainable and effective service across the RBGE estate, increase reliability of the equipment and response times, together with reduction of administration and repair costs.
