Some other key benefits are:

  • Excellent VFM; e.g. desktops with a monitor are 20 percent cheaper and for laptops you can now buy 3 for the same price as 2 under previous agreement

  • Mobility for staff “on the go” can be achieved by a number of solutions including tablet devices from top manufacturers including; Apple, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Microsoft

  • Support for smarter workplace initiatives with options like Dell Thin Clients or HP Mini desktops

  • Range of HP laptops include an ultra-portable option which is of a similar weight and size to an equivalent tablet but at a significantly lower price

Staff training

The recently awarded Tablet Client Devices framework will continue to offer bespoke training designed around the unique needs of your organisation. As a result of this initiative, XMA and iTeach have trained over 2,500 teachers across Scotland and the aggregation of available training days provide organisations from across all of the Scottish public sector with access not only to free training, but assistance in developing their mobile tablet strategy.

Environmental benefits

All the ICT Products frameworks offer the latest, most energy efficient models which contributes to the Scottish Government's commitment to reduce carbon emissions by 80 percent by 2050 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions across Scotland. In addition to energy efficient models, XMA have teamed up with Scotland based Tech-Trade to offer highly competitive trade-in pricing on iPads, which are data wiped and resold on secondary markets.
