Scottish Procurement recently welcomed visitors from the Government of Indonesia, Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) to share information and ideas on all things eCommerce.
The delegation was led by Dr. Ir Agus Prabowo. M.Eng, Chair of National Public Procurement Agency, senior representatives from the Directorate for eProcurement System Development and included our Catalogue Content Management provider European Dynamics.
LKPP are undertaking a significant reform program and were keen to understand the technology used in world leading public sector procurement programs. They wanted to focus on the lessons learned, challenges and critical success factors that lead to the successful implementation of all technologies used within the Scottish Government eCommerce program. They also had a keen interest in the collaborative procurement agenda and wanted to understand our approach and achievements to date.
The meeting took place in Edinburgh over two days and it enabled Scottish Procurement to take our visitors through all aspects of our pre and post award eCommerce tools, including Public Contracts Scotland, PCS Tender, the Information Hub, Catalogue Content Management, PECOS (P2P) and eInvoicing.
A number of presentations on procurement and eCommerce solutions were delivered, prompting interesting questions from our visitors which contributed greatly to in-depth discussions. Both parties benefitted greatly from the visit and Scottish Procurement are looking forward to continuing and developing our relationship with the Government of Indonesia and LKPP.
