Research to develop a National Building Standards customer information pack
Contractor: Pye Tait Consulting

Project Year: 2014/15

Using the information currently available the aim of this project is to develop and produce a ‘customer journey’.  The ‘customer journey’ will be used by BSD and LAs to inform customers of their roles and responsibilities at each stage of the building warrant process.

Identify a cost recovery mechanism for Local Authorities dealing with dangerous and defective buildings

Status: Complete
Project Year: 2012/13

This research identified ways of improving the cost recovery powers in the Building (Scotland) Act 2003.  The project reported on cost recovery mechanisms which could be used by Local Authorities to recover their costs.
