The Scottish Government launched the consultation paper “Future Model for Community Justice in Scotland” in April 2014. The paper asked for views on the details of the new model for community justice in Scotland which was announced by the Cabinet Secretary for Justice in December 2013.
The consultation form consisted of 15 open questions covering key themes related to the new model. The questions broadly fell into the categories of local arrangements, national arrangements and transitional arrangements.
A total of 66 responses were received from organisations in the public, private and third sectors. These included responses from local authorities, community planning partnerships, professional organisations and academic institutions and centres.
